Another reason Marriage sucks is that anything an come between you and your spouse. Anything.

He'll Do Anything

My husband says he'll do anything for me. He tells me he loves me. He trills with endearments. He loves me. He cooks. He cleans a bit. He can do our laundry. If I ask, he will build me a bookshelf, change the oil, put cleaning fluid in the car. He can feed and walk the dogs, renovate a bathroom, and charge a battery. He is a computer wonk.

He will do anything for me except lose weight, save money  and use his imagination. What!? What a complainer, whiner, pathetic underserving gal!! I know. I know.

So I got what I deserved. I got a loving man becasue I never felt a lot of love without conditions before. But given my years as a pain in the ass know it all, I also got a man thin in the brains department. I got what I deserve. (Not sure I get the money part of it though.)

Fucking big ass revelation. 

For once, I doubt the wisdom behind Oscar Wilde's witticisms, at least in the former half:

Marriage or Dog?

Marriage     If you want someone who will eat whatever you put in front of him and never say it's not quite as good as his mother's ...then adopt a dog. If you want someone always willing to go out, at any hour, for as long and wherever you want  ... ..then adopt a dog.. If you want someone who will never touch the remote, doesn't care about football, and can sit next to you as you watch romantic movies ..then adopt a dog. If you want someone who is content to get on your bed just to warm your feet and whom you can push off if he snores ..then adopt a dog ! If you want someone who never criticizes what you do, doesn't care if you are pretty or ugly, fat or thin, young or old, who acts as if every word you say is especially worthy of listening to, and loves you unconditionally, perpetually ... ...then adopt a dog. BUT, on the other hand, if you want someone who will never come when you call, ignores you totally when you come home, leaves hair all over the place, walks all over you, runs around all night and only comes home to eat and sleep, and acts as if your entire existence is solely to ensure his happiness ............. ..... . . . ..then adopt a cat! Now be honest, you thought I was gonna say... marry a man, didn't you? Send this to all the women you know to brighten their day. I'm listening to husband snoring in the bedroom--it's 1:38 a.m. It's not just the noise it's the redundancy. How many nights have I lain awake not able to sleep next to him. In a few hours his alarm will go off. He will turn it off and tuck it into the bed with him. He will let the alarm go off a few more times before getting up. I bury my head under a pillow.

Tomorrow, if I say I didn't sleep, he will say that he didn't either. He's so tired, he'll say. I will look at him nonplussed - my mouth hanging open and my blood shot eyes peering at him as though he just crawled out from under a turd. He will be in a bad mood all day.

And that's when I want to scream: Who are you?!

John Gray has advice of course for the marriage weary. We've heard it all before - communicate, tend to you rmarrage like a garden, go on dates, etc etc.

But what if you are married to a sweet, loving slug?

Routine: a love killer

Routine is a killer of spontaneity especially in a marriage. So is lack of funds though I know many who can work around the later.In my marriage when we are short of funds--as now--husband simply refuses to do anything. He also doesn't have any sex drive either. So I watch movies, cook, clean, and do laundry both of which I hate, write, tweet, and have a hit of pot to break the monotony. I used to go out alone at these times but I've had to cut back myself.

My new blog is something different. Its for those who know marriage is hard, who may stay in a marriage or even decide to get out. This is a place where o one will lecture you on how to communicate.
